A New Beginning

Hi everyone!

It has been a while since I’ve last posted. Unfortunately my previous photography blog has been deleted permanently so here we go again! For those of you who know me, you probably know how important photography has been for me over the past decade. It truly is my favorite way of artistic expression and nothing makes me happier than to be out in nature with just me and my camera. It’s so easy for “life” to get in the way sometimes, making you forget just how much you enjoy something. Sadly that has been the case for me and my photos- although I have still been taking photos, I have spent very little time going through them and editing/posting like I used to. I am currently stuck in a quarantine hotel for 2 weeks, so what better time to re-start what I should’ve never stopped? I am hoping to post lots of new content that I haven’t been able to share yet, as well as re-post some of my favorite shoots from the past.

To start off, I thought it would make sense to show some photos from the last shoot I shared before my blog disappeared. This was back in 2019 with the beautiful Maddie. We found these very cute greenhouses in the botanic gardens in Bristol and fell in love with the location instantly. The tropical plants brought us to a different world and inspired us both to create the images we got. Maddie has a background in dance and I love how it came through in the photos- there’s such fluidity and softness to her and the plants complemented the aesthetic perfectly. Looking back at this makes me miss all these shoots so much. It’s the perfect way to see and discover new areas and notice all the tiny pockets of beauty surrounding us.
